Chinese Roasted Pork Belly
Chinese Roast Pork Belly, or siu yuk is a classic Cantonese Siu Mei dish that is made its way throughout Asia. It is famous for its crackling skin and the aromatic meat.
Now it is hassle-free and easy to replicate the crispy skin, melt-in-the-mouth tender and juicy pork meat at home, simply do it with just the oven or air-fryer.
How to prepare
•Thawing:1. Thawing at 0-4℃ or 2. Soaking the whole packet in Hot Water for 15-20 minutes or 3. Boiling the whole packet for 5 minutes
After thawing, you may prepare the dish by your preference:
•Air Fry: Fry at 180℃ for 5 minutes then flip the pork and fry for 3 more minutes. (Spray or brush some oil on the belly skin if needed)
•Oven: Bake at 220-230℃ for 8-10 minutes.
•Pan Fry / BBQ: Simple Pan Fry or BBQ Grilling
