Beef Wellington is a steak dish of English origin, made out of fillet steak coated with pâté (often pâté de foie gras) and duxelles, wrapped in puff pastry, then baked.




Cooking methods:

1.) Thaw in the refrigerator at 0-4°C for 18 hours

2.) Leave it at room temperature for 10 minutes while preheating the oven to 180°C (top 180°C, bottom 200°C)

3.) Spread a little bit of oil on the baking tray, and coat the pastry with egg paste

4.) Baking time depends on the doneness of the beef

5.) Take it out from the oven, let it rest at room temperature for 10 minutes, then enjoy it


Baking time

Rare: 14-15 minutes

Medium: 17-18 minutes

Well Done: 20-22 minutes
